Painswick Midsummer Ball 2015

Following a sell-out of all 300 tickets, the Painswick Midsummer Ball was much awaited and fortunately the weather and the evening did not disappoint. As intended, the event was a real village affair with attendees from their late teens to those enjoying their 8th decade together, plus fabulous support from local businesses and organizations and also visitors from our neighbouring villages.

Guests were welcomed with canapés and a magician in addition to welcome drinks kindly sponsored by The Falcon. All this as they entered the wonderfully themed marquee incredibly adorned with real trees and lighting to really make the event special. A special thanks to Richmond Painswick for their sponsorship of this element which allowed the talents of Julia Murray and others to wow us all.

Following dinner including a main course of beef carved at the table, all were fabulously entertained by Mango Jam, Steve Twigg and DRP (DJ Paul Dunkerley) with the dance floor full throughout the evening.

A key element of the evening was the support for and fantastic success of the Charity Auction. Nearly £5000 was raised on the night for the Door Youth Project due to both the generosity of our donors and of course those who very kindly won their bids on the night. Making this such an enjoyable and tremendous fund raising item was in no small part due to Will Fair who was such a splendid auctioneer.

Of course none of this would have been possible without the support received from a number of key individuals and organizations that helped make it happen. These include our sponsors Richmond Painswick, The Falcon Inn, Hamptons, BPL Global and Painswick RFC and those who assisted with the fantastic setting and support for the evening including Nature First, The Bespoke Flower Company, Core Lighting, Andy Lovell and many local helpers from the village and our suppliers.

The Painswick Ball will be returning in June 2017 and we look forward to your support and another great evening at that time.
